Frequently asked questions
Why does my baby have to wear wool?
Wool is the ideal choice for your baby's clothes for several reasons. The natural fiber has exceptional temperature regulation, keeping baby warm in winter and cool in summer.
Wool is breathable, prevents overheating, is soft and comfortable against delicate skin and regulates moisture to keep your baby dry and free from irritation. Wool is also durable, retains its shape, naturally insulates and is an environmentally friendly and sustainable option.
All in all, wool creates a protective and comfortable barrier for your baby in any season.
What are the advantages of merino wool and lamb's wool?
Both merino wool and lamb's wool have unique advantages that make them attractive for use in baby clothes. Here are some advantages of each type:
Merino wool:
- Softness: Merino wool is known for being very soft and comfortable against the baby's sensitive skin.
- Temperature regulation: The natural ability to regulate body temperature makes merino wool ideal for keeping baby warm without overheating.
Lamb's wool:
- Thermal insulation:
Lamb's wool has good insulating properties, which makes it suitable for keeping your baby warm in cold weather.
Therefore, you can safely wrap your baby in our driving suit all year round.
- Durability:
Lamb's wool is known for its durability, which means that baby clothes made from lamb's wool hold up well over time.
Is wool too warm for my baby?
Wool and especially merino wool is known for its unique ability to regulate body temperature, making it ideal for all of us and especially your baby. Here are some reasons why merino wool doesn't get too hot:
This type of wool keeps your baby warm in cool weather, prevents overheating in hot weather, allows air circulation to avoid heat and sweat build-up, absorbs sweat and counteracts odor.
Merino wool is also lightweight and comfortable in different weather conditions, ensuring your baby stays comfortable all year round.
Our driving suit in lambswool provides the opposite, because it keeps your baby warm in cold times out in the pram. You can see the characteristics of the driving suit in the middle question.
How big is the clothing in size?
As a rule of thumb, we would recommend going down one size. This applies to both everything in merino wool and the driving suit in lambswool.
